I
recently finished reading an excellent book by John Wood titled
"Leaving Microsoft to Change the World." In this book he describes how
while on a trip to Nepal he became inspired to start a project to
provide books to schools there. He became so impassioned with this new
calling that he left his comfortable job at Microsoft to pursue this new
life. He has since created Room to Read a nonprofit organization that
is dedicated to building schools, libraries and providing books in
countries around the world in Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Laos,
Cambodia, Tanzania, Zambia and South Africa.
His book is refreshing and is written with an honesty that you normally find in works written by entrepreneurs. And the decision he made is truly inspiring. I encourage you to read his book. Even better, check out Room to Read's website at: http://www.roomtoread.org.

He includes a quote from SÇ¿ren Kierkegaard which I love:
"There is nothing with which every man is so afraid as getting to know how enormously much he is capable of doing and becoming."
